Biosphere Reserves

I became aware of biopshere reserves some 2 years ago when Noosa was given UNESCO accreditation. Not having any eco awareness it was amazing to read the document and discover the wealth of opportunities available. As a result I sought to discover how the biopshere reserve accreditation would work only to find an overly conservative management has stifled development of this idea into the community. The result, here in Noosa, is lack of awareness and hence lack of credibility, which is a great shame.
A rnage of folks, with Noosa tradition set about securing the accreditation, but then recent arrivals seem to have hijacked the motives and lacking the tradition have established simply a governance model over what should be free and bright expressions.
How does Noosa get back what it should never have lost?
